THE SHORTEST VERSE IN THE BIBLE IS FOUND IN JOHN 11:35— “JESUS WEPT.”

The background of this is that Jesus has just returned to the village of Bethany. His friend, Lazarus, has just died four days earlier and there was intense mourning by his burial place within the tomb he was in. Jesus stood and He heard the peoples’ cries of pain and loss, He saw the tears falling from their eyes. Jesus felt the pain around Him, and He wept…

I think this relates so society so much today. I feel like we  are taught not to show our true feelings— just push them aside. Especially boys. There is also a crazy thought going around that it is not ok to cry!? What! Some people have said that is not ok to cry because it is showing God doubt that we don’t trust Him. But look! Jesus Wept. If He needs to cry, maybe you and i need a good cry too!

Prophecy is basically interpreting what God is saying about people. I almost always get this in the form of pictures, but once I start painting them, new things come out in the paintings that those people God is talking to see, that I didn’t even know about.

These pictures can be really simple but if they are done by someone who has the gift of artistic prophecy, they are essentially done by God, it’s like God leads my hands as I draw. - Romans 12:1, “…offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God - which is your spiritual worship.” Painting is part of my spiritual worship.

Prophetic art is a work of art which reveals the Father’s heart, His thoughts and intent and prophecies. It comes with form, line, texture, colours & symbols. It’s like God’s visual speech.

God uses my hand, eyes, thought, emotion, circumstances and background, training, pain and joy to speak to people through my work.

Because prophecy in art can be viewed on a wide scale, God tends to use it to speak to a lot of people. It’s like, once a painting is done, the Spirit is within it so when someone sees it the Spirit hits them like a ton of bricks :L
